hitchhiker

My first attempt at sculpture, it is a hitchhiking ogre. His limbs are based on the alligator snapping turtle. I had a lot of fun making him and I will definitely be posting more sculptures.

This is a character design I did from George Orwell's Animal Farm. I was thinking of Newman from Sienfeld.

I have been on an animal kick recently. I havn't been to the zoo in a while so it was nice to go and brush up on this subject matter. I would like to do some characterized sketches next. hopefully I can squeeze them in before school.

Private Plane Cabin

This is a personal project I did over the summer. It is a private plane cabin for the brother of a wealthy sultan. The brother was exiled after embezzling millions of dollars from the country's oil revenues. I wanted to make the cabin as impractical as possible. I really want to bring this into CG.

Oh no! The Rancor!

This is my CG modeling final. I had a ton of fun with this project. My favorite part of this project was using Zbrush. The base needs some work as well as the lighting but I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm definately going to some more modeling over winter break.

The Magic Chalk

This is a piece based on "The Magic Chalk." In the story, everything drawn by the magic chalk becomes real, but vaporizes if it touches the light. I was using Michael Knapp as a reference for style. I had a lot of fun with this piece. I thought it would be fun for him to draw impractical things like a car and a jukebox instead of furniture or food. He doesn't know how he will get the car downstairs but he has it anyway.
